Grainne is Director of GMS/ealain [ealain is the Irish word for art] which specialises in researching and commissioning collaboratively with contemporary artists, museums and galleries in the UK and internationally. She has significant expertise in leading projects with contemporary artists, and producing multi-partner exhibitions and new work with amongst others: Alex Katz, Christine Borland, Susan Hiller,Tate, mima, The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation and The Getty Research Institute.
Katherine is the Director of Flo-culture an independent arts research and production company that specialises in using digital technologies to innovate approaches to cultural production, distribution and engagement. She has over 20 years’ senior executive and non-executive experience in the cultural sector. Most recently her work has focused on building cross-disciplinary teams that have the technical and artistic expertise needed to explore how digital technologies can be used to transform cultural practice.
Grainne Sweeney and Katherine Pearson are co-founders and directors of Apps by Artists (established in 2011).
